I can’t believe it took me so many years to get round to
reading this. For those that do not read much this is a good easy read! Set out
like a diary (obviously) so I whizzed through both books and it was an entertaining
read. So many women can relate to Bridget because of her insecurities of
relationships, weight and massive pants. Not even to forget this long desire to
be thin or compare ourselves to other women’s bodies. If you’re reading this
and you are female then you probably agree with me on that one. Also having a
coco-loco mother reminds us of how loopy our own mums (and even dads!) can be at times except in
these books she is constantly crazy.
I’m now on my way into reading Mad About The Boy which I
have to say is less humorous. It is now Bridget several years later being a
proper adult. As this book is very recent I will say no more. Also, I’m
currently going crazy writing my dissertation and other assignments that I’m
finding it hard to make time to read leisurely as I spend most of the day
reading academic books. Brain ache.
